WTO (NAMA) and forests update

21 March, 2006
Below are two important update documents relating to the current negotiations in the WTO on forest products liberalisation. The first is a brief update on what is happening in the various different sectoral negotiations (and has one paragraph on forests) - this was originally circualted by Carin Smaller from IATP.

The second is a more detailed report from the forests sectoral group, dated 24 February 2006. Note their ambition of extending the range of products covered by and the number of governments participating in the existing WTO pulp and paper agreement, and the involvement of the Santa Catalina group.
